Ordering FAQHow secure is this online credit card transaction?Northwest Artists Cooperative uses a secure server with password access. To deter problems even further, the password is changed on a regular basis, and the credit card information is NEVER available in a single digital location. Generally speaking, online commerce is much safer than the "hard copy" use of credit cards. Most credit card fraud involves people going through dumpsters, or using other means to find a printed copy of your credit card info, then using that information illegally. ALWAYS be sure to check over your credit card statement when it comes each month. How soon can I expect my order to arrive? If the items are in stock, your order will usually be shipped the next business day via the carrier we determine to be the most appropriate. Often, orders will be forwarded to the artisan who makes that product (the same day we receive the order), and it may take several days to get a finished piece ready for shipping. The time varies depending on the producer and the items ordered. In extreme cases, and with some larger furniture pieces, the order will take longer. Your credit card will not be billed until the item is ready to ship. After I send the order, what happens next?Once your order is received, an email confirmation will be sent within one business day, including an order number. If the items are in stock, you will get an indication of when the order will be shipped, and by which courier. If the item is not in stock, you will get another email within a couple days, indicating the expected ship date. Should the anticipated time frame not be acceptable, you may cancel the order, and your credit card will not be charged. You may contact us regarding your order at any time. Let us know if you have any problems and will do our best to take care of it. What if I don’t like the product when it arrives, or it wasn’t what I expected? While we make every effort to communicate clearly the features of the products on these pages, the reality of doing business long distance, is that sometimes items don’t meet expectations. Please read our Guarantee. If a product doesn’t meet your needs, then it’s an expense and hassle for both of us. Help us help you by making every effort to communicate, even contacting us by phone if necessary. In the first year of our existence, we are happy to report that we have worked out the few problems that surfaced, to everyone’s satisfaction. If you are unhappy, we lose, too. Keep the lines of communication open, and we look forward to a long, and mutually beneficial relationship. What about shipping and sales tax?Shipping and handling costs are explained in the product descriptions. All orders shipped to an Idaho state address will pay 6% state sales tax. |
