White Oak Pens and Pencils

Historic Polgreen Church Foundation

The Hanover Heritage Tree, also known as the Lee Tree, was a 430 year old White Oak. Under this tree General Robert E. Lee and his staff officers planned the Gaines Mill battle in which Union General McClellan was turned back in the Peninsula Campaign in 1862. The white oak wood in this article you have purchased came from this tree.

The Historic Polgreen Church Foundation has provided the wood for these items and will receive a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these white oak items.
