The Artist
Carol SinClair became impressed with and
inspired by the beauties of nature after moving to North Idaho. One result
was the development of her feathercraft. Carol taught herself the necessary
techniques to produce both beautiful and durable works. Her pieces are
unique combinations of primitive and contemporary designs which reflect the
natural beauty of the domestic and game bird feathers she uses. None are
dyed. All flatwork is backed with leather which is sown to
any metal parts. The glue used is water resistant but not waterproof. The
all natural feathers are mostly ring-necked pheasant. Also used are peacock
greens and blues, wild turkey, macaw and parrot, grouse and partridge.
Special orders are welcome but require additional time to fill.
