Society and a signature member of the Montana Watercolor Society.

July
Rick Barlow's photography and Vern Judkins' unique wood work will be
featured through the month of July.
Artist's reception to be held on Friday July 11th from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Rick Barlow"s photography show "Orni-Vita"
(literally translated; bird-life) A collection of various bird
portraits and candid compositions.
As gift under the Christmas tree in 1967, Rick's
first camera was a
Kodak Instamatic-104. Rick's gear and the vision
have matured somewhat; His drive to satisfy our need for reflection,
connection, and discovery, remains. Twenty rewarding years have been
spent searching canyons, mountains, and communities of the West for
moving moments that fit these needs. Rick's work has received many
awards at local shows over the years. Most recently he has had images
displayed in juried shows at Spokane City Hall and in the Washington
State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle. He has been published in
magazines, such as "Paddler", and in promotional brochures.
What Rick values most in his imaging is the use of
photography to tell a story; Most every image on show likely has
several ‘companion’ images in his library. These different shots
compliment each other and work together to describe a geographic region,
an ecosystem, a culture, or an activity.

August
Northwest Artists Co Op will feature the fused glass work of Denise
Wilson and Alison Meyer's "Photo Glass Images"
through the month
of August. Also on display, the work of over 40 different NW artists.
Artists reception
August 8th from 5 to 8pm.
Alison Meyer has
been photographing the Inland Northwest for almost 20 years and this
show features new presentations of her images printed on unique
substrates. Several of her North Idaho outdoor photographs printed on
plexi-glass will be displayed, including images of Lake Coeur d'Alene.
These pieces have a very modern, clean look without the distraction of
picture frames and they allow light to be an even more important element
of the photographic imagery. Photos printed on canvas will be featured
as well.
